According to the April 2000 issue of
PC Computing (p.66), on-line taxi businesses are still among the bottom 10
industries to have exposure on the Internet. This domain name is an excellent asset. We
foresee an on-line site that allows customers to select a city, pickup point, time,
destination, receive pricing and billing information, etc.

Trips to the dry cleaners and
Laundromat will soon be a thing of the past. This is another industry that is still up
for grabs on the Internet according to the Small Business Administration and the
Department of Commerce (PC Computing, April 2000). We envision this domain to allow a
customer to enter their home address, select the types of services desired, and enter the
date of pickup and delivery, and pay for the service on-line. The participating cleaning
service for the customer's city will pick up the laundry at the specified time and
location, clean it, and deliver it to the specified location.

The funeral service is an industry
that offers the best job security but is still in infant stages on the Internet. Our
research shows that several funeral homes provide home pages but the
market is wide open for a do-it-all-from-home site that eliminates the need for a
bereaving customer to drive around town trying to get everything arranged. Our search for a "funeral"-type domain name was futile. Everything was
taken even though there were not any companies that we could find who offered e-commerce
for this industry. We were able to acquire this domain after thinking that the the best
site of the future will be an interactive form that allows the customer to purchase
flowers, caskets, headstones, viewing services, cremation services, plots, funeral
services, transportation, scheduling, etc. all from the security of their own home without
dragging grieving family members all around town to put the pieces together.
This is another industry that PC Computing (April 2000) said was in the
"bottom ten" e-commerce industries. Maybe so, but obtaining a domain name that
is workable will be extremely difficult.
